More than 500 books!!!
by Michelle Mee
I’m proud to say that Ultra Violet Lesbian Books has more than 500 Lesbian titles
available for your reading pleasure. Over the past few months I have
been reading as many Lesbian Fiction books as possible.
Not like I was chained to the bed and forced to do so, I actually love reading more than watching the box. Being winter does help as it gives me an excuse to be in bed before 8. I can float off into the new world created by many talented authors.
I thought I would share a few books I have read lately that I would recommend. I also tried to choose from different genre’s:
- The Spanish Pearl and the sequel The Crown of Valencia - I have to admit that I have read all Catherine Friends book, it’s maybe the author stalker coming out.
- Ammonite – Nicola Griffith (A girls only planet – Jeep – Scifi at it’s best)
- Slow River – Nicola Griffith (Excellent written Scifi and a Nebula winner)
- The Blue Place – Nicola Griffith (Crime Noir at it best.)
- Colder than Ice – Helen Macpherson (A realistic romantic adventure to Antartica)
- Greetings from Jamaica – Mari SanGiovanni (One of the funniest books I’ve read recently with some great scenes you remember for months to come.)
- Chance – Grace Lennox (Jennifer Fulton writing as Grace Lennox)
- The Truth Is… - Melissa Ethridge (A brutally honest memoir from the famous singer)
- Family Outing – Chastity Bono (Anyone contemplating coming-out should read this essential quide)
- Sticky Fingers – Morgan Hunt (An entertainingly good read)
- Fingersmith – Sarah Waters (Currently one of my favourite books of all time)
- The Killing Room – Gerri Hill (A fast paced romantic thriller.)
The following is on my current reading wish list:
-
Land Of Entrapment – Andi Marquette. I already have a signed copy and will be reading this next. I have read other works by Andi and she is a bright writing talent and an awesome person. Watch this space as we’re going to be hearing from her in the future.
- Liddy-Jean Marketing Queen – Mari SanGiovanni (a definite read after her funny debut novel Greetings from Jamaica)
- Fat Girls and Lawn Chairs - Cheryl Peck (The cover appeals to me)
- Edge of Darkness – Jove Belle (Recommended by a friend)
- Idaho Code – Joan Opyr (Read some good reviews about this book)
- Alix and Valerie - Ingrid Diaz (The cover appeals to me)
- Punk and Zen - JD Glass (The cover and title piqued my interest.)
- The Tristaine Series - Cate Culpepper (Looks like an interesting Scifi/Fantasy series)
- The Stone Gods - Jeanette Winterson (Yes, Jeanette Winterson has written a Scifi)
- The Daughters Series – Katherine V. Forrest (Because K. Forrest wrote it.)
- A Seahorse Year - Stacey D'Erasmo (Read the blurb and caught my attention)
