There Came Two Angels

Loy Lombard doesn't believe in angels. She doesn't believe in silver linings, fairy tales, or men in white hats. But she does believe in wisecracking, trusting a handful of people, and sending herself off to sleep with an old movie and a bottle of aged whiskey. And above all, she believes in not being a snitch. Loy thinks her homicide days are long over until Ross McKenna shows up at her door. As Loy--torn between her conscience and her desire to be a part of the biggest murder case in the country--attempts to clear Slade's name, she finds herself the unlikely pawn in a dirty war waged by the politics of greed, secrets, and lies...and a sultry redheaded reporter by the name of Hunter Lyle.
